Design System
The Spring Show 2024 poster was created to promote the annual spring showcase for the Department of Design at Sacramento State. Inspired by American Traditional Tattoo shops, the poster aims to symbolize the event's lasting impact on students' lives, akin to a memorable tattoo. The illustration features a hand displaying four playing cards, each representing the four programs within the design department: Graphic Design, Photography, Interior Architecture, and Design Studies. This imagery embodies the concept of being a "Jack of all trades," showcasing the diverse skills students acquire during their educational journey and apply post-graduation.
The design was adapted into an Instagram Grid and Story format for awareness, a dedicated landing page provided guests with event details, and various wayfinding elements such as LCD Screens and A-Frames guided attendees from the parking garage to the event venue.
